BYLAWS

Laborers of Christ Soul Winning Ministry exists for the ultimate purpose of glorifying God, by fulfilling his great commission. These bylaws provide general guidance on organization and governance and is based on biblical principles and practices.

Article-I

The name of this organization is Laborers of Christ Soul Winning Ministry. We maintain our principal office address at Beaver Street Enterprise Center, 1225 W. Beaver St., Jacksonville, FL 32204.

Article-II

Purpose

Participation in our communities.

This organization is exclusively for religious purposes. Our purpose is summarized by the biblical scripture: and he said to them "go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Mark 16:15. We want God to use Laborers of Christ Soul Winning Ministry for the building of His kingdom. 

Article - III

Membership statement

We believe the Holy Bible is the god breathed and inspired word of God.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Section A. Marriage

Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman. Staff and members shall not participate in same sex unions or same sex marriages, nor shall its property or resources be used for such purposes.

Section B. Human Sexuality

Legitimate sexual relationships are within the confines of marriage. Our organization opposes all forms of sexual immortality including adultery, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, incest, pornography or any attempt to change or disagree with one's birth assigned gender.

Section C: Staff and Volunteers

All staff and volunteers should abide by and agree to this statement regarding marriage and sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly.

Section D. Sanctity of Human Life

We believe all human life is sacred and created by God in his image. We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalm 139)

Article - IV

Members of this organization should be born again Christians and accept the burden of finding and winning lost souls unto Christ.

Section A. Duties

Members will meet on the second Saturday of each month for two hours to engage in outreach and witnessing to the lost.

Section B.

We are not a church. Members are from different churches that have the same goal in mind and that goal is making ourselves available for God to use us to win souls for the kingdom of God.

Article - V

Discipleship of converts

New converts will go through a two-week discipleship training program. They will be united with a bible believing and teaching church in their community, and receive continued, dedicated mentoring and guidance by us while in their church.

 
Article - VI

Financial Officers

Two individuals will be designated as financial officers.

Section A. Duties

1. To perform the accounting duties for our non-profit organization.

2. To facilitate an annual budget under leadership of the CEO.

3. Be responsible for all financial records.

4. Prepare contribution statements for donors.

5. Set up checking account with local credit union.

All financial records will be kept at the principal office.

Article - VII

CEO (Chief Executive Officer)

Section A. Duties

The CEO is responsible and accountable for overseeing the nonprofit. The CEO is also responsible for selecting, organizing and supervising all staff positions.

 
Article – VII

Amendments to the bylaws

These bylaws or any provisions of them may be altered, amended, or repealed and new bylaws may be adopted by agreement of the membership majority.

Section A.

Amended bylaws must be approved by ninety percent of the membership and the CEO.
